B101.5 (WBQB-FM/101.5 MHz) is a HOT adult contemporary station owned and operated by Centennial Broadcasting, II, LLC. Based in Fredericksburg, Virginia, B101.5 is a regional radio station reaching north-south from DC to Richmond, and east-west from Manassas to Southern Maryland. Centennial Broadcasting also operates News Talk 1230 WFVA in Fredericksburg. Among the recurring segments on WBQB every week: 101 Minutes of Today’s BEST Music – a one hundred and one minute commercial free segment during Kristin Nash’s timeslot, Kristin’s Canines and Kittens featuring animals from the Fredericksburg SPCA, and the 5 O’clock Cartunes with Trapper Young. B101.5 also has local contests every day as well as a Spring and Fall Cash Contest. Additionally, B101.5 host Care-A-Thon benefiting Children’s National Hospital. This is an annual 2 day radiothon and as of September 2023 we’ve raised over $1,192,601.17.
Community
B101.5 participates in multiple community events within Fredericksburg throughout the year. The B is the primary sponsor for the Great Train Race, one of the largest annual youth 1-mile races on the East Coast. The station is the media partner for Micah’s The Coldest Night of the Year Walk, the Run Against Teen Violence, Stafford County’s Via Colori, The Fred SPCA’s Annual Fur Ball. This is just to name a few. B101.5 proudly supports many community events throughout the year.
